Can't Go Into The Ground So.

Hi all, so here is my situation, I was thinking of building chicken wire baskets, 3 ft. high x 3 ft. wide and lining them with straw or even the material they make smart pot out of, I forget the name of it. Anyway, something to hold the dirt inside of the chicken wire. I need to do this because of a very high water table and some very acidic soil. Proven by all the dead vegetation on the hillside. So I want to build an 80 gallon pot above ground as cheaply as I can. What do you all think?

u could build one but 80 gallons seems extreme, i mean more power to yea but what your goal with this out door grow?
