Cannabutter w/j trim / fridge quest?

Hi, I plan on using only trimmings for my cannabutter and I have read that typically you use anywhere from 2-4oz. of trimmings for each lb. of butter. I just wanted to verify if this is correct. My next question is, is it necessary to put the cannabutter into the fridge/freezer right after you're done filtering out all of the excess material ( trimmings, stems, etc. ) or can I just go straight to making brownie/cookies/edible while the butter is still hot? I understand the reason you fridge/freeze the butter after it is cooked so you can seperate the water from the butter but I wanted to make this cannabutter and brownies in 1 night. So can I just skip the fridge/freezing step? Is there more to fridge/freezing butter just for the sake of separating the water and cannabutter?

youd have to wait for it to cool first and then strain it..

the freezer or fridge would speed this up. though i normally only use the freezer when i also use water to make my butter. the freezer freezes the butter and makes it easily seperated from the water.

peace out

I have not cooked with trim yet so I can't say whether that ratio or right or not but it sounds about right. As for the seperating the water section you can look here:

The first recipe is my normal way of making butter and since you don't mix the butter with water you have no need to let it cool to separate the water. All you have to wait for is for it cool enough that you won't burn yourself trying to strain it (which takes like 5 minutes). Basically from beginning to end you can make phenomenal food in 7 hours tops.
