cannabis science

I am a relatively new member and it hasn't taken me long to figure out that I am an ametuer compared to some of you guys(and ladies). So I would like to dedicate this thread to those heavy hitters. The guys who really know the science behind growing the highest quality cannabis. This is your battle ground and these are the rules. You can post on any part of the growing process from germination to curing however you must back up what your saying with science. I understand some science is theory until proven so theory is acceptable but I have seen posts that have made my eyes cross it was so complicated, so be prepared to defend your thesis. No fights please its not Facebook. We are here because we love cannabis. This will be my only input as I am not qualified to be involved but I am honered to witness what I feel could be the most intense and educational thread on this site. Just need someone to get the ball rolling. I've seen opinions on flushing, root boiling, nutrients, etc. Thank you to anyone who participates.

Boiling the roots causes more THC.

Grow under blacklights for more THC.

Nail through the main stem = THC

Sulfur = THC.

Don't forget pissing, crapping, and putting your lady's plug in the soil also adds to the flavor. As does Faygo pop. And add as much pgrs you can afford. Your buds will thank you for it.

What book if you don't mind me asking? And any ideas on how those methods work. For example what nutrition do they provide or what process within the plant happens after boiling the roots that increases THC. I would like to make this thread as detailed as possible because I feel that knowing what to do is good for getting started but you gotta know why it works to master it.(my opinion)

Definitely good subjects. I know I said I wasn't going to get involved however I didn't know what pgrs are so I looked into it. I would recommend very thorough research on the subject before use. Looks promising but seems like consumer safety is unclear.

i had a feeling you were but since you were well known members and I don't know much I decided to dig deeper into what you brought up. I knew you were full of shit on urine. That can be used for emergency nitrogen when you fuck up but someone that knows what they are talking about wouldn't advise that. I also saw another thread about boiling roots but I said it was a good start cause I know some old head would freak out about it. I also didn't want to go off on you if you believed what you said. I try to be respectful to everyone so I was going to let someone else shit on what you said. Except pgrs. I didn't know what they were. Can we cut the shit tho? This isn't a hobby to me and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm a heavy laborer fighting a back injury I don't think I can push through the pain much longer so I need a safety net now. I have a felony aggravated assault so I get laughed at when I apply for office jobs. Nice to meet you dickheads by the way.

Ok bro. My input is going to be 24 hours of darkness before chop is a great thing to do. Like over the top type dank. Super potent buds, potency test to back that up if you need. Thats all the science i got for that subject.

That came off a little more serious than intended. Im not mad. I can handle being fucked with but I would like to make a useful thread. My biggest troubles have been caused by listening to the 20 websites that say boil your roots and when your shit dies you notice the 21st website say hahahaha your an idiot. I really just want to weed out fact from fiction and I have been reading my ass off but it doesn't seem like it cause I will read 10 pages on why hydro pH should be kept at 5.5 to 6.5. Then just to get a second opinion you go to the next site and that one contradicts the last. That's why I thought this would be a good thread.

Most of the questions have been answered hundreds of times already. A search would reveal most if not all your questions. But....... people do piss, shit, and use the Ole lady's plug as ferts. It's utterly disgusting, and I would beat the FUCK out of my grower if I found out. I'll gladly do a 1.5yr bit for battery if that happened to me.

At the same time a virgin grower wouldn't know that. And I started this thread to learn from those with more knowledge than me and to also benefit brand new growers that come behind me and you guys are well known members I pay more attention to what you say. If I didn't have as much sense as I do or didn't learn my lesson on acting to fast on advice from someone who swears by something a harvest could have been ruined. I am old school in nature that's what got me an aggravated assault. I am trying to get my girl(who is the most important and only good part of my life) out of one of the most dangerous cities in this country before I am no longer my company's MVP mule and we end up homeless here. Do you know what its like to wake up to automatic weapon fire on a regular basis and have that stomach fell out of your ass feeling as you go to check on your loved ones to make sure they didn't get hit with a stray. And do any of you know what it's like to take someone's life? (Not because your some badass motherfucker but because its you and your loved ones or the man who will rape your wife as you lay there dying from the bullet he put in your spine. A battery is elementary school to me. Im not asking for pity and I'm sorry for the life story. Just want to get anyone who gives advice on this site to think about that shit before they post shit. Not everyone seeking knowledge on here is a hobbiest some people are working 12 hour days 6 days a week, taking care of plants, and reading till they go cross eyed while trying to figure out which pH chart to go by because different sites do tell you different ranges and then you find a site that is supposed to be for experienced growers to help people grow quality cannabis but you have to dig through garbage post like this one in hopes of finding a factual answer to a question. So the information really isn't that simple to find. So if your going to jump on someone's thread who is clearly trying to learn something remember that their situation may not be as sweet as yours. Especially if you don't know them. None of that was a threat but this site might as be Facebook. What a joke I'm out. Thanks ganjagurl for keeping it 100.

And a search doesn't mean shit when every other person says something that contradicts the person before them. That's what this thread was created for. To present the facts and put misinformation to bed so the new growers can improve their success by improving their practices, troubleshooting processes, and understanding of plant biology. Now this is a thread on how you should treat others the way you want to be treated(funny I mentioned automatic weapons cause someone just got lit up down the street no bullshit literally just happened ak47 I believe). Anyway if anyone new comes across this thread sorry it wasn't as useful as I intended. I would like to recommend misterblah if you can find his post I'm sure he will have some solid well thought out threads to help you on your way. Search how to calculate npk and be prepared to think. You may want a pen, paper, and calculator. Just a hint it helps to reverse engineer his process until you can figure out what to add,subtract, multiply, or divide by what to get the same numbers he did. Took me a few hours but keep re reading until you get it. Good luck.

I wasn't implying that you were a shitty person. I was simply agreeing that there is an over abundance of shitty people nowadays more specifically the shitty people that bite the hand that feeds. I am not shy with confrontation if I was talking about you I would have said something directly to you and to your face in person if that is where you wanted to take it. The fact that you were offended makes me sure that you should take a look within and get right with yourself. I may be a shitty person. I have done things I can't take back or make right. But I go out of my way to help others even if they are strangers in the hope that they too will perform a random act of kindness for someone else. I feel its the only way to combat the senseless hatred and greed that is spreading alarmingly fast. So think and do what you want dude. Try giving a fuck about someone other than yourself if you haven't. And you will feel better about yourself I promise. You may even have better luck with quality ladies cause no self respecting woman wants a petty ass boy. I strive to be a man about every aspect of everything I do. Try that out too since I'm still giving out advice on how to be a better person on a thread that was meant for knowledge about cannabis. I got nothing else to say to you unless we are talking about cannabis cause my time is too valuable to waste.
