Cannabis Oil with Powdery Mildew?

Hey guys, I have a quick question.

Is it safe to make Rick Simpson Oil with buds infected by powdery mildew? The recipe calls for dipping the buds in 99% isopropyl alcohol and then heating the resulting fluid so that the solvent (alcohol) burns away, leaving only the pure cannabis resin.

I have heard that heat kills PM, so will this be safe to consume?

I wouldn't make anything I planned to smoke (or others might smoke), but that's just me. I would go ahead and make the RSO, but then either ingest it orally or maybe use it topically or something. I wouldn't smoke it.
