Can you TOP and the FIM.......?

Hey all,

Now on with my second grow. Last time i FIMd as i didnt realise the topping method, or read about to late into the veg.

This time i have topped twice so gona end up with 4 main colas. Could i then FIM each of the 4 tops? What effects on the plant would this have, bigger/small yeild, stonger/weaker bud etc...?

Also when do you FIM is is it a week before flowering, cant remember when i did it last time, think it was a week.

yep you could. i have done it in the past. a little more stress on the plant but it is doable. as far the effects on size, it depends on if strain takes well to those methods. only one way to see. try it. Only way to know for sure. Might turn into your personal "secret to super harvesting". let me know how it goes!

and yes, i also fim'd mine a week before flowering at the same time i transplanted.

Also when i induce flower should i wait a week or so until it has stretched abit and trim off small spindler brances that are not getting much light (but keep fan leaves). will this then force energy into the bigger branches and hopeully produce bigger denser bud?

or should you not do any trimming in flowering?

hmm, maybe fim a couple of tops and leave the other two and see what happens........

If you topped then why fim? I would top and then top those tops. then be done. I toped mine following uncle bens topping method and got 4 colas each plant by topping once.

fimming is a form of topping, any high stress training should be done at least 2 weeks before the start of flowering so the new colas have some time to develop and can take full advantage of the uge growth spurt that happens during the stretch phase of flowering.

just a note, I had to up the N a bit when I topped. Hey dark d can you LST during flowering too? thx

yes, I do every grow. After they fill the horizontal space i let them grow upwards towards the light.
