You certainly can't tell by looking at a picture of a plant. lol

You need to look closely at the fan leaf junction with the main stem. By 6 or 7 weeks most plants will start showing pre-flowers in there. If you see two tiny fuzzy white hairs sticking up anywhere it's a girl. Small balls hanging like a scrotum and it's a boy.

This is a male flower. ;)

This is a bunch of male flowers tho you'll only see one or two at each spot if the plant is male and showing sex until it's flowered then bunches of them One flower is open and spilling pollen out onto the stem.

All I can find on the hard drive but I know I have closeups of early flowers somewhere like the one above.

Hope that helps.

Awesome thanks man, still no signs of pre flowers however it grew way quicker then the others, had a thicker stem too. Just was curious if those are traits of a male without preflowers

Males are usually stronger growers and grow taller/skinnier.

The 5 Hindu Kush seeds I sprouted, I got two males which were easily identifiable almost instantly.

Is this the same for other strains? I can't say but for my Hindu Kush grow, it was almost immediately after sprouting. The females were squatty and slower growing while the males all popped first and grew much taller and faster
