can you mix hps and halides?

i am about to remodel my room and i was wondering if it was a bad idea to put a couple hps lights in there and have a halide going too..it is the flower room so im not sure if thats ok....thanks to anyone that responds

That is definitely okay and beneficial. Sometimes flowering plants begin to yellow at the onset of flowering when only an hps bulb with a super red output is used due to the absence of the mh light. Some growers think it is some sort of deficiency and then they are off on a wild goose chase trying to fix something nutes won't help. It is said that a greater more potent yield can be had while mixing mh and hps during flowering. There are even bulbs made with both types of light they are called dual arc bulbs. Sunmaster I believe is the manufacturer.:joint::mrgreen:
