ok i was thinking i have been buying distilled water in the gallon jugs from wally`s world and it accured to me that if i bought a pure water filter from say lowes and mixed it with the jugs i already have until i run out of what i have bought, would like some feedback on what kind of water filter to buy...also i`am doing my first grow and have three ladys going 1,cole train.2,super lemon haze.both are 3 and a 1/2 weeks old.3,super lemon haze.thats about two weeks old,all are in five gallon buckets with a mix of ffof and light warrior, under a 600 watt mh light until i`am ready to bud.plan on doing that when they get about 30inchs tall under optimal conditions what could my yeild be...

Unless your water really sucks there is no need to use distilled water.
I have never used it in hydro, or soil - most don't.

Ive thought about this as well! Im curious bout am too lazy to experiment, besides in a couple of weeks im switching to Aero

Thing about RO water is you need to supplement cal/mg..

Tap water where i am at is about 300ppm(plenty of cal/mg there), So i use RO water but i could probably get by with tap.

Thing about hard tap water is you use WAY More PH+/PH-
Also distilled water i believe has a lower PH then RO

I use a water distiller to make my water and the pH is 4.6. My tap is like 700 ppm with a pH of 7.2. I found it real hard to adjust my pH and keep it stable for the distilled because there is no buffer in it. So what I've been doing is just mixing 16oz of my tap with 5 gallons of distilled and I wind up with water that is 30 ppm and a pH of 6.0 when I'm all said and done.
