i have 3 plants all about a 3-4 weeks into veg. i was wondering if i can start cloning them even though they havent shown sex. and if so, where do i snip?
Can you clone a plant before it shows sex?

well i am currently out of seeds and im not in a rush to harvest. i want to get a large yield around new years!!

You won't get a large yield around new years even if you switch to 12/12 right this second...too late for that...unless you are running a kick ass hydro system + co2...
Expect February-March to harvest depending on when you switch to 12/12 and what your conditions are

Flip them to 12/12 for a bit so they'll show sex, then flip them back as soon as you've identified everyone. If your strain is a really heavy indica dom, you could get a good harvest around the first week of Jan, more probably the second week, tho.
I'd flip 'em now, then clone the definite females for later.

yeah flipping back can be bad. if you just let it keep growing it will show sex before you flip to 12/12 and then you will know if its a female and worth taking clones of

I've never had a problem. You will slow down growth a bit while they re-veg. Are they bagseed, or blue blood pedigreed genetics? If you keep interrupting the dark cycle you stand a good chance of hermies, but in MY experience reverting them shouldn't hurt. Lots of folks will do that to determine sex. I can usually get it right from the preflowers, but occasionally a male will slip by me.
But if you're wanting to harvest around new years, flip them now and just revert the clones to veg. I take clones as far as 3 weeks into flower regularly without issues.

its just some bagseed so its no biggie if they dont come out perfect. so if i got this straight, i should clone each one, and put the mothers/fathers into 12/12 until i see sex, then i know the sex of the clones. should i put the clones on the same 12/12 light schedule as the parents, because i only have space for one grow room.

You gonna have to figure something out, 'cuz you're gonna have to keep the clones under 24 hrs of light no matter which way you go.

in all honesty ive found out that u can vegg clones under a lamp with 2 23watt cfl on a timer. not real hard to rig up. as they grow u can just add more cfls. or even get a small 4 bulb t5 or even just a 150watt mh or hps setup will work for a while till ur done flowering those parents then move them under the big light. u can pick one up off craigslist pretty cheap. just search t5, hydro, ballest, hps, mh, metal halide, flourecent. any of the mentioned should hook u up. just some food for thought.
lol. ok so i got high and came up with the perfect solution thats pretty cheap. grab a closet put the clones in a cloner or rapid rooters whatever ur method is do ur thing then put them in the closet with a lamp that u had laying around the house with a cfl or two in it. then plug it up to a timer. bam ur set for a few weeks till u can figure out what to do. but seriously tons of shit on craigslist just be patient and look. good deals go fast on it tho so check often.
