can you clone a budding branch to make a plant thats all bud?

the branches are lower on the plant and not getting much light seems pointless to keep it going but, could i clone it move it closer to the light and maybe have better luck with them? and i would still keep it at 12/12 so it doesnt start to veg :confused:
 
yes u can clone them when there buding but the chances of them taking are like 50/50 its harder to clone a buding branch but i have seen a great way when cloning instead of cutting down the stem on a degree angel cut strait down the middle about 1/2 inch then dip in rooting gel or powder

Give it a try, not much to lose. Can take a couple clones, leave one under 12/12 and put one back to to veg. You'll know for future grows and can pass along your knowledge ;) Let us know your results.
