can we bring the sun inside without fiber optics?

It would be nice to supplement indoor plants with natural sunlight, to fulfill the full spectrum for photosynthesis.
How would it be possible without using fiber optics to bring the sun's full spectrum inside your house from varying angles... Can't we just bounce the light from A to B to C to D to ETC./. to get the yummy sun inside? There must be a surface we can use to accomplish that... if it doesn't exist, then what about using "tubing" made from mylar to bounce the sun around to get it inside the house? Any ideas? Maybe kinda like a large cone

you can, but by the time you have it where you want it, it's going to be pretty dim.

Maybe you need a green house/conservatry/

back yard for the win...

wish I had one

but actually, what if your grow room was right below some type of fish bowl reflector that was on your roof and it used a series of whatever to bounce its way into the space 1 foot below it and spread out in the room.

Shylights are the answer, this is not a new idea either, ive been in a grow room where the owner had 4 skylights on his roof that let sun in his room, this was a big ass room too like 30x20 & it was packed full,he had 4 400 watt hps systems spread out to cover any shaded areas once the sun starts going down, his lights only run a few hours a day,the rest of the time its all sunshine.

when they use skylights thoguh, what about the helicoptors that fly above looking?
Sheesh, all these helicoptors flying around everywhere ,where do you live, in damm near 60 years ive never once had a helicoptor fly over my house & the state im in has the toughest mj laws on the books, with many government agencies actively looking for grow op's,,helicoptors scout wooded areas, farm land & water ways ect,not homes with skylights.

On a side note this grower has that thought out as well,he has tracks on the ceiling where he simply slides a peice of rigid styrafoam insulation (think light weight) back to expose the light & slides it foward to cover the skylight opening, pretty simple & effective.

This grow op has been up & running as long as i can remember with zero problems.

I live out in the cuntry and we offten have hellcopters, I don't think they are looking for weed. but I woulnd't risk it. But I don't think it would be that hard to frost the glass slitly so that you can't see threw it.
To be honest I dout you could see threw some skylights from a hellecopter anyway?

If the police fly low enough to see in your skylights, it'd more than likely be be an invasion of public airspace.
