can t5's be flip flopped?

I have been thinking to supplement my babies with t5's but the only place I can grow have a 15amp load for the room and is very tight with a 400w flip flopped and 432w for veg. I want to add 12 t5 288w and flipped them with another 288w. Is there a way to make it work. like running the 24 lamps from the same 1or 3 ballasts like I have with the hps. Im planning to do diy lamp fixtures and putting them where its needed

Most T5's have integrated ballasts. If you built your own from the ground up you could do it with shared ballasts if you are clever enough. However, with what is prebuilt, you will find ballasts are dedicated and onboard. However, this would not prevent you from flip flopping... I see no reason why you can't flip flop just about anything with the right controller or even just with timers. (I would leave 15 min extra overlap to avoid one side's on cycle inadvertantly happening before the other side's off cycle begins.)

(Guessing you mean u want to be able to add a switch, and toggle between two lamp setups, off one power source/ballast setup?)

If you dont mind spending the money and putting in a little work, sure I bet its possible, but.... it'd be a pain. You'd have to toggle the bulb end wires off the ballast(s) all the way around.... for all the work n wiring, might as well run the other ballast, n just run one at a time...

I want to be able to flip flop like I have right now with hps but for t5. a ballast that power two bulbs on different schedules. I know t5 ballasts comes indifferent lamp accommodations like 2.4.6. 8. 12 bulbs but the kits Ive seen to buy are mostly ballasts that power either 2. 3. 4. or 8 bulbs . so Ill have to do like 3 ballasts 8 bulbs each using 12 bulbs 12hrs and the other 12 on the next 12hrs or something like that. thats why Im asking if its doable and someone point me in a direction to take. if I could have another panel Ill do it but im not allowed to do that
