Can someone tell me if im gonna need a fan and carbon filter?

So i am planning on growing in my closet. I have at grow tent, and im planning on using fluorescent lights for my first crop untill i can save up more money for an hps. I was planning on getting an air cooled hps with a carbon filter and just attach it to one side and run some ducting out the other end with a fan somewhere in it. my question is since im not gonna have an hps light with my first grow should i still get a carbon filter, ducting and a fan and just kind of set them up in the tent to get better air flow? My tent has some flaps so could i just open those up, would the plants get enough ventilation this way? Also if i dont get another carbon filter what can i do about the smell? Is it really going to be that bad? What are other ways for dealing with odor without a carbon filter and a fan? Thanks.

you need to vent just for air movement.the filter is for you if you don't want smell carbon. I use pet odor remover soaked kitty litter It's not 100% but you never smell anything out side the room. I soak about 1/2 a cup of litter and mix that into 3 cups of fresh. there are lots of ways to do it just got to find the one good for you. If you use any chem's for odor control keep them as far away form your plants as you can.
