can plants show sex before flowering?

hi iv got 4 plants about 4 and a half weeks old from seed on 18/6. had a good look at them this morning and one of them has got tiny little balls between the nodes male i think is it possible to show before flowering.

yes it is, if you see balls then kill asap

these are called "pre-flowers". they are more than common.

usually with enough veg time your plant will show sex before 12/12

pre-flowers should appear during veg at around 3-8 weeks, before ya switch the lights, some growers use it as a sign of maturation for flowering

yea men !
i have 8 plants in flowering now
4 days since they left the vege state
and 6 of my 8 plants had showed the preflowers since maybe .. 3 -4 weeks ago
now i still have 2 that didnt show
and i must check em to not get a male !
