Can Indica marijuana grow in humid weather ?

I want to grow Indica marijuana but I only have the option of outdoor growing.

And the months in which I can grow marijuana are humid months in my city.

Please give me any helpful input and advice.

High humidity poses a problem as it can cause botrytis (bud rot). So lower levels in mid to late flower are generally required unless you are growing a strain that has good mold resistance.

If I get a good mold resistance strain could I grow it in a rainy climate ?

Also I have heard rain destroys marijuana plants is this true ?

Outdoors in the open, but the key is not to let the buds touch eachother and have as much air flow as possible.
Also in rainy areas I dont recommend foliar feedings unless its silica.
Also spraying something like actinovate or similar products as early as possible and often will help prevent bud rot
(Its an organic bacteria that eats fungus)

Like I said air flow is the best... so putting trellis netting up to keep buds off eachother really helps. I will get small spots of rot here and there but its soooo little it doesnt really add up to much.

Since you mention airflow I should add that I live in an area which unfortunately barely gets any slight wind. Do you think might be a problem?

I have never really listened to anyone that said I couldnt grow a particular strain outdoors, and I live in one of the rainiest towns of the rainiest state in the USA. My humidity is always above 70%. Sometimes you get lucky and the canna gods bless you with two weeks of perfect weather right before harvest, and sometimes you dont.

Grow what you enjoy smoking. Dont settle for something less enjoyable because someone says you cant do it. Look for strains with short flower times, preferably bred by outdoor growers. If you can build a cover to keep the rain off your plants your chances of success will increase tremendously.

Spray regularly with fungicide and you won't get mold or bud rot.
Spray regularly with pesticide and you won't get insect problems.
Use cheap agricultural fertiliser.

It's how every commercial farmer operates.

Eeekkkk...man... that's a lot of poison sprayed on plants that ppl have to smoke :(

To each their own... but personally I find benificial insects work just fine for pests, and I dont harm bees when I use this method.

Look into fast flowering strains or autoflowers. You want plants that will be done growing before the weather really goes to shit in the fall.

im in the south and the humidty has been less than normal but much higher than most peoples. im not having any issues with OGK or bubble Gum so far.
