Can I use these lights for growing weed? Help

With CFL you need as many watts per bulb as possible. The less power, the less range.

I have horticultural t5ho's, and they are only good for about 10". The plants are basically touching the bulbs at all times.

A single 1'x1' plant needs about 50w of CFL to veg.... That's at point blank range. Lower leaves are still starving for light.

quick answer no not if you want them to flower and produce if looking for a cheap light try a chinese led basic AF but also very cheap try alibaba

I'd venture to guess that the cheap Mars Hydro 100W LED would cost less than 10 CFL's + fixtures to hold them. Just sayin'.

Not saying OP fits the category but it's always a wtf moment when you see someone growing under CFL's and they mention their latest $200 seed purchase. Feels like someone bought a nice steak and plans to cook it with a heat lamp.

can I use a 200W reflector?

This is the bare minimum I'd use, mars ts 1000. I'm pleasantly surprised how well my seedlings x 10 did under it at 50-60%.

The 6 I put outside yesterday and today are thriving in full sun loving it. No hardening off in these unseasonably hot 26c temps.

For fun I'm going to flower out 2 of these buddies. After I add another ts1000. They recommend 1 light per 2 plants in a 3x3' tent.

I figure 2 lights in my coming 4x4 tent would be a safer bet for two seedlings.

Fun fun. But yeah, I'm super happy with the light so far. The bigger bonus is starting this personal grow for the season kick started my motivation towards it. It helped me to get my ass in the right gear

Up to this point the light gets the credit. The plants didnt stretch any, it was a concern prior.

I'm high af right now. Three edits later :/

Honestly don’t waste your time or effort, wouldn’t use these for my seedlings let alone anything bigger

The dude who indroduced me to the mars lights is harvesting massive sugary cola's this week. I was impressed I seen some giant buds in my time :D

Granted hes using 3000 model mars lights. To each their own as they say. It served my purpose brilliantly. My main objective was priming seedings for my 4' x20' raised soil bet getting southern sunshine.

For the two lights its under 300 bucks. It would be silly not to try flowering under it. As I said before its the minimum I'd use.

P.s Ill report back with some proof in the nuggies pic or two ;p

I have a ts 3000 and I'm so glad I did week 3 of flower and my babies seem to love it only turned up to 100 % recently only needed 60% during most of veg
