can i use aquarium ph kit to adjusted the ph in my dwc tub?

As long as it will test a range from about 4 to 8, I don't see why not.

yup what he said.. the problem is they don't test for PH lower than 6.5.. and you need to go lower than that. Look for PH testor on ebay.. they aren't that expensive and it'll be what you're looking for. Don't cheap out on it either or you will regret it, I have one now that is self calibrating and adjusts to water temp automatically, and I think it was 30 bucks..

I got my hannah on ebay for around $30 and it is fine. You can get test strips that go down to 4 or 5 but they are for hydro not aquariums so you won't find them in pet stores. The meters are much better.

Get a meter, for sure. Strips are a pain in the ass and you have to keep buying them.
