I,m wondering how auto,s respond to training/toping etc ? i,ve got some lemon haze and would like to get the most from it. any info apreciated TCD
autos can benefit from LST, but topping them is usually unadvisable, as it cut's into precious vegging time...with regular strains, go for it...but not with autos...
why cant i tie them over ? = super crop is that right ? TCDno, but u can ultra crop super lemon haze.
I,m in agreement 100% about cutting limbs of any plant, what i normaly do is tie them over. it gives me a nice even canopy. So do i just do the same thing, after it,s vegged ? thanks TCD

Yes man yer spot on ??? that,s how i go about it, but this crop i,ve tried a screen ? for the 1st time ? I,ve also tried tying as they grow but found it to be constant tying for no benifit that i could see imo ? thanks TCDyes, grow out desired branches but take the lower branches and one that are shadowed by others will produce airy buds but this can be strain dependent sometimes, but id say if you want to train for efficiency, the general idea is to keep as many useful fan leaves but eliminate too many branches, which we all know turn into bud sites. less bud sites and more fan leaves makes for less trimming and bigger main colas.
id say have her vegged and put her in flower once she's half the size you want since that final stretch will give you 2x your original, stay on top of your training and try to only train them as little as possible but efficiently, for example, i will tie mine, wait 5 days until one branch is closer to the light source than the others then bend them back over.

After 2/3 days the plant is flat and growing evenly i don,t understand what you mean ? Thanks TCD
Oh sorry budy i see where you,re coming from. I,ve never tried that method i,ve tied them while still in veg but let them get to 8 or 10 inches. However i,m doing a single plant next time round and i,ll try that method, i know another chap that does it the same as you and he,s tuned in aswell. thanks crazyhazy TCD p.s remember the photo,s in a few weeks lol regards TCDalright, heres an example im doing right now. as you can see shes about ready to be trained around the pot, the highest point is getting a majority of the energy but by giving the nodes exposure i can ensure the lower branches have a fair chance. ill show you how hes doing in another weeks or two, but thats the basic idea.

I was similar in a certain way budy, there was a time when every single crop had at least 1 plant with experimental value. I,ll be interested on how it goes crazyhazy keep me posted with some photos if you don,t mind ? keep in touch regards TCD p.s take a cut from a female, and copy the method that,s a lot of tending to get binned in the end budy.
