Can i pollinate a female only **^Partialy**, sorry for my bad english! :)

I have 3 x Holland's hope going.
The initial tought was to get a load of seeds from them but i've read somewhere that you can seperate the male, cut off a branch for the pollen and use that to pollinate a few buds from a female, resulting in just partialy polinated buds.
Does this work ? how should i proceed in doing so that i can still harvest some sensimillia, but also have seeds for future grows?

any info on this would be greatly appreciated

Never done it before but a friend is currently seeding only 1 branch of a flowering female plant, he's got the top of the branch isolated from the rest of the plant by putting a sandwich bag over it and tying it closed. I'm curios how it does
