Can I germinate my seeds in a zip-lock bag?

Me and a friend are doing an outdoor grow but my roommate doesn't know about it and he's really anti-drug and whatnot(dad was a cop). so I can't just lay out my seeds in glasses.

I was wondering if I could put em in zip-lock bags with wet paper towels and store them in a drawer? or do the seeds need to "breathe"? also what temerature is ideal for germination or does it not matter?

Yes you can. fold the paper towel wet it and put as many seeds as you want. The zip bag actually makes them germ pretty quick. You're looking at about 3-5 days germ time.

no way you can germinate in a seed starting mix? IMO, it's a lot easier. I'm of the opinion the less you handle the seed the better. Good luck.

Water/Plate method: Get your seeds and place them in a cup with pre boiled cool water or water that has been sitting there for 24 hours, leave them in there to soak for 48 hours; after 48 hours your seeds should have sunk to the bottom of the cup.Take out the seeds and place them in between two wet paper towels or tissues for 24 hours and boom... then put them in dirt. The end
