Can I do this to prevent stretch?

Yes you can If you have any parts of high canopy you can supercrop, bend or rub the stem until its creates a slight break then you can tie it down and it will form a knuckle.
Ok thank you. I tried to train in veg but this plant is aggressive verse other strains. Even with lots of light I have issues. I think lst in flower will still be messy. Last time I bent the whole plant and it grew from the side nodes 1 1/2 feet.

Actually using more N in the first two weeks of transition will shorten them a tad but you'll end up with leafier bud. If they get too tall just lst them. This is an example of too much N that worked for shortening everybody else but I had one taller girl whose main cola I snapped because of height. I don't care if they are over N because this is an open pollination seed table. I would not have done this with a sensimilla table and just put in more work training. So either train in veg or flower is the answer I guess.

Is it acceptable to bend stems randomly during flower to prevent stretch? Also if they stretch can you just wind the plant around in the net?
"If you set your lights to 10 hrs on and 14 hrs off for the first two wks of flower you won’t have any stretch, th[e]n you put the lights to 12-12 after the two wks...during the flowering stage 12/12 you have 2 hrs of stretching" YouTube Highlighted comment

I would super crop way before I did anything like this.
Yeah, the dude who posted that comment seemed pretty sure of it. If I ever get the time I might try it. Seems to me that even if it worked for him with one strain doesn't mean it would work for all strains. It's in my bro folder of things to try in that magical time called someday.

I'm for experimenting with different techniques but I feel like anytime you are limiting the things your plant wants/needs you are potentially stunting the plant. It may very well work as the plant isn't getting all of the light it could but how will it affect yield in the end and how much control does it give you?

With super cropping it barely if at all affects yield and you have a lot of control of when and how to make your bends
