can i convert my active intake fan to a hepa filter ?

i want to use a hepa filter to block bugs and fungus spores before my active intake fan .i dont want to buy an expensive Hepa filter. how can i convert my active intake fan to a hepa filter ?
for exaMPLE, can i put something like that in front of intake fan ?

i need some ideas to do this.

Put some black pantyhose over the hole and there you go. I'm sure it isn't nearly as good as a hepa filter but is cheap and should do the job sufficiently. I've seen some people on here use the pantyhose technique to keep dust and critters outta there grow room

Hey bud,if you get a hepa filter,its gonna be worth its weight in gold as PREVENTION is the key when growing indoor and out.Dont be a cheap azz,get the damn filter.I seen HEPA filters that are friendly to round ducting,so just pop one of those guys onto your intake and VOILA,hope this helps,peace...:bigjoint:
