Can clones be too old?

I cut a branch off of my plant which is 3 weeks into flowering. you can see the white hairs on that branch.
I cut it and planted it. Is 3 weeks into flowering too late to clone? there wasnt really any real bud on the branch.

I think i read on here before that you can take a clone off a flowering plant Im new to growing myself

if you took the clone form a plant that was in the flowering stage the cutting will root, but it will need to REVERT BACK TO THE VEGETATIVE CYCLE befor you can start "growing it" and getting ti ready for flower.

this can take anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month or so.... it will work though thats a fact

there is no limit, clones when ever you want it just takes longer
