Read the post titled Busted for posting to RIU. It can happen and just for shits and giggles I started checking exif data and it took me about 5 min to find a pic with GPS cords on it. I PM'ed the person letting them know by sending them a nice google street view of their house.

must have been taken on a smart phone, a regular camera wont have GPS coords but they can match up the exif #'s on the pics here to the Exif 3's on say some facebook pictures taken with the same camera and figure it out that way.
or hell its the government, they can just ping your IP adress and will know where your at.
to be honest, unless you got some serious federal violations they probally wont bother but if you want to be 100% safe, dont post your shit here.
can always buy a cheap 30$ digital cam and use it only for taking pics of your grow. but again if your posting your illigal operation online your opening up that door yourself
