Can 2 Cuttings Come from the Same 8-node Stem?

I've topped my mother so there's 4 main cola-stems growing.. 2 of the longer colas have ~8 nodes. Can I take two 3-node cuttings off of those colas to leave 2 nodes for the mother?
Will that 2nd cutting (middle of stem; node 3 to node 6) root alright?
I'm thinking if there's no top, the hormones won't know which end to grow roots... Any help is much appreciated

the remaining leaves on the cutting act as a new top....so it should be fine
the middle of the stem clipping would have to have some leaves for sure

i personally would do both clips at once cause i don't know any better
but it may be wise to do only one and letting the wound heal up a day or two before going after the next one?

Ill take a clone then take one from the same branch right away as long as the next clone has a top with at least 2 fan leaves on it. not just the start of a node.

perfect thanks... sounds like fan leaves are enough to create a new top since the 2nd cutting won't have an existing top... Plants are so cool

Another question - how long should I wait before taking the cuttings?
I put them on Flower for about 12 days, then removed the males and put it back on Veg. Since then, it's been on 24 for 7 days and 16/8 for 3 days.. I feel like it's ready but it's grown a lot of white pistils (hairs) since then... I'm wondering if the plants are in flowering mode and if the stress is still bad enough to affect doing the cuttings?

Thanks in advance
