California Legal Grow Room Size?

Is there a legal grow room size limit in San Diego?
I am setting up a grow room and since I can only grow six mature plants, under California and San Diego law (although I have also heard that 24 plants are allowed in San Diego County), I am planning on growing in 25 gallon containers for maximum yield.
I was thinking on building a two 1000w, 12X12X8(high) grow room so that i would have plenty of room for the plants and to move around inside.I just recently heard that a 8x8 size room is the biggest that is allowed in San Diego.
I haven't been able to find any info on this.
Does anyone know what the law or San Diego guidelines allow?

if you have a card, there is no room size regulation so to speak.. some counties use a canopy size as a limit, others use plant numbers

"City of San Diego

Still in development: Current version 9/17/03: Adult marijuana patients with the approval of a San Diego County doctor may keep up to 1 pound of marijuana and grow up to 24 plants. Under the measure, caregivers can keep up to 2 pounds of marijuana and grow up to 48 plants for as many as four patients. The ordinance must come back for a final vote, as a procedural matter, to be enacted."

San Diego COUNTY has adopted the State guideline of 6 flowering and 12 immature.

According to this, you can grow twice that in the city limits! I wouldn't want to test that threshold though.

bump, anyone know whats up with San Diego? I've seen that ASA website, but it seems to be a 'possible' measure from back in 2003. I have no idea if it went through or not, and would like verification

Yeah, no doubt. It's worse though, when the county you are in pretty much outright ignores its own states laws. :cuss:

The state has made it legal for a doctor to prescribe it. It's up to the DOCTOR to decide your medication needs. Most doctor's follow the guidlines of their county, not ALL doctors do though. Within reason, they can prescripe whatever they want. My prescription clearly states that I'm allowed to posess up to 6lbs dried & grow up to 90 plants or a 10'x10' (100 sqft) canopy. That's a little more than my county recommends, but it's not up to them. :) I know a guy that had more than 90 and WAY more than 100sqft ... they left him 90 and took the extras. :) Go bust them crack dealers you sumsabitches. Leave me lone!

It's the 10'x10' that's the real limit since I don't want to wander off my prescription. I'm flowering only 8 in a 4x9 tent. I will get another tent soon and I will still be well within the limits. I sleep pretty good knowing I can't get hauled off to the pokey for tending my little garden. :)
