Hello all i recently purchased a cheapo digital PH meter on ebay. The manual says it comes pre-calibrated. My question is can i calibrate this meter without using the store bought PH calibration solution 7.01? I bought some FIJI water that has a PH of 7.5 can i just dip it into this water and adjust it to 7.5? Any input would be great.
Thanks

I guess that might work. Get another type of water with a different listed pH so that you can test it and see if you meter gives you the same result

I'm not sure on this so wait for someone else to add input

Buy some calibration solution. It's not that expensive. The pH of water, even distilled or r/o can vary a lot. Callibration solution is a very stable liquid that maintains it's exact pH for a very long time.
