Calcium Intake

Anyone here ever have a plant that was especially hungry for calcium?

I'm not asking for a diagnosis but it seems like this particular bagseed I'm growing really is calcium hungry.

I know every strain is different when it comes to nutrient needs and sensitivity levels to those nutrients and I'm thinking mine might be one of those. Thanks everyone.

It's possible. I have a plant that needs heavy iron, and mag evidently. Lots of yellow in new growth, eventually the green comes in nice, but I don't like the looks of the period in between.

Hmm or maybe because I'm using dyna gro and its acidic its bringing the ph below 6.2 and locking calcium out. Or I just havent been giving it enough nutrients....I gotta get a ph tester and way to change it..

Good call. Soil. Low ph = less Ca uptake.
(Possibly less Mg and P uptake as well)

Had similar experience with coco and PH. I muffed up adding more Ca. To excess, causing lockouts. When PH was the original issue. Doh

Worse part is I just dont know for sure. I'm getting really low ppm when I'm using the recommended amount so it could be associated with hot

What way do you check ph and adjust it? I just want something simple and cheap to begin with. Even the gh ph starter kit would work for me.
