Buying used equipment?

What are peoples opinions considering some people are selling them some cheap and you could get some equipment for 1/4rd of the price. I know bugs and them having your address could be an issue.. But apart from this?

Like anything used, there is some risk, but you can get good deals too. If buying lights, make sure you run them for several minutes to make sure there’s no issues after they warm up. Tents are a good deal, make sure the zippers work.

I've already bought a tent from amazon, a Spider Farmer 120/120/200

But I saw some absolute bargains on Ebay, but a lot of the lights were older and used.. So I didn't want to risk it, being new to LEDS I know the tech changes.

Keeping my eye out for anything new that comes in. I am hoping a FCE-3000 Mars Hydro is good enough in a 120/120/150 with 5 plants? I have another 100w LED too, so 400w total

For a 4x4 foot tent you're going to want roughly 30 watts per square foot so that's 480 watts minimum. You can get away with less but it's probably going to have issues getting light out to the borders of the tent. 525-550 watts would be my goal for a space like that personally.

Here in OKC we have Tony's used grow equipment everything LEDs included come with a 90 day warranty that they will honor, I bought 2 used luxx 630 watt cmh, one bulb burnt out 60 days in and he replaced it no questions. We got really good deals on Oklahoma after big business fucked every craft grower in the state. I grow for me so I win either way

I don't know if yer in a legal state or not but if you are there should be a >bit< of used equipment available. Here in CO it's crazy. Lots of folks who moved here over the last few decades as MMJ/REC hit the mainstream >thought< they'd kill it found out such opportunities were in the "days gone by" category. There are LED's and older equipment as well. The older, the less expensive they can be. Some stuff is "free".

good luck
