Burying stalks on overstreched plants

Was just wondering if anyone has buried part of the stalks of over streched buddah plants?? or if it is fine to do so or if it effects the plants health??

are u growing indoor or out? its good for outdoors becuz the roots will sit way down and get all kinds of water... but if u r doing it indoors its not such a good idea becuz the root formation will take longer, the roots will grow out of the stalk all the way up to were it is burried

i had a nice plant and i ran out of head room and i buried the plant and extra foot into the ground and it did great

im growing indoors but the stalks on them are about 5-6" before the first set of leaves, the plants are only meant to grow to 20" at the max!! thanks for your help
