Building glass-roofed shed for horticultural purposes

Hey, first post.

I am currently in the process of designing the customizations, dimensions, and general image of this shed. I will begin to build in about 3 weeks once exams are over, but I want to get more ideas for what I should put in the shed for better grow capability, or a better environment, or whatever.

First of all: the shed will be on the side of my house and will be mostly out of view of the general public. This spot gets sunlight all day long, and I live in Southern California, so there's generally no end to the sunlight.

Second: The shed at its highest point will be 8 to 12 feet and the roof will slant; the roof being maybe 6 - 7 feet high at the point of entry. The shed will be approximately 10 feet long, about 5 feet wide.

Third: I'm not going to start growing cannabis right away. Seeds are pretty expensive, so I wanted to practice on some other plants to build up my skill before moving on. If you have suggestions for this, much would be appreciated.

That's all that's concrete as of right now. I'm pretty new to horticulture (About to finish my first semester of my horticulture class; I really, really like it.) so my ideas might be a little mislead.

I was thinking about placing mirrors across the walls to take full advantage of the light (we already own a **** ton of long mirrors), but if another material would be better for that, I'll use that instead.

At the door I would make an enclosure of some thick, clear plastic drapes so I can enter without letting anything else from the outside in.

I will probably build in a slot for my window air conditioner.

I was thinking of maybe putting in one window on top where helicopters, regardless of the angle, couldn't see what was on the far side of the shed. Or maybe getting some kind of blinds for the roof-windows which I could close for whatever reason.

I will either build or buy some industrial shelves. That's where I'll place the smaller plants with lights (HPS, HID) mounted on the bottom side of each shelf; only using the lights if the sun is blocked.

I have enough money available for the building and the housing of the plants, but things might get a little sticky once it comes to the items, lights, etc within.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
