Bugs in my soil? help!!

ok so i did the dirty work myself and figured out i either have thrips or mites, some bugs i noticed living in my dirt today. my question is what can i use from a local store that will kill the bugs but be safe for me and my plant to ingest? I cant find neem oil "doesnt kill thrips" anyway, cant find nutrilife sm-90 "kills all 3 inside insects" and i dont want to make my own garlic etc.. mix of stuff. so...whats that leave me with? i want something i can either just dupm in the soil or put on the leaves but i dont want to wash my leaves off so it has to be something i can leave on without harmong myself or my girl

yeah you're right, i thought about it and any kind of insecticide should be ok if its for like shrubs herbs gardens etc. so i found this one called ecosence brand by ortho insecticidal soap. Its for vegetables fruits trees citrus berries shrubs flowers in gardens and green houses and kills a LOT of diff kind of bugs including the main 3 inside bugs. It doesnt list its ingredients so i'm going to hope for the best and i'll update if it worked or not.

I had a plant with root rot once, when I finally noticed it, I found gnats running around in and under the soil. I put a 'No-shot' pest strip in the room (I think that's what it was called), it worked quickly and didn't hurt any of the other plants. I swear by them and always have one on standby just in case. They have them at Lowes and Home Depot, for $6-7.
Btw, that plant actually did recover and bloomed about 70% of normal...

yeah that's not a bad idea i should buy one as like a precaution. so far the very tip of my leaves turned a slight yellow from spraying the insecticide but the rest of it still looks lush and good. i see teeny tiny dead bodies "the spider mites" or thrips whatever they were, I can see them dead so I'm going to spray again in like 3 days and then another 3 and hopefully I wont have to worry about it anymore. I wonder if putting worms in your soil would help the roots? Would the worms eat the roots? Hmm
