Hi I'm new here and a novice grower. I have grown plants for my own use and today noticed a caterpillar about 1/2 long. Wot should I do. I only have run of the mill insecticide. Have also noticed brown dead patches of bud. Urgent help needed please.

:wall:Hi: I am also having problems with
catepillers, the brown spots are where the bug has destroyed the bud. I pick
them off by hand. What else can be done. Help.

Get some BT from your local hydro shop they are bud worms...they burrow inside your BUDS and you can't see them until you notice the your beautiful hairs turning brown...also neem oil should help a lot

This is not the bible on caterpillars but a good thread. In the harvest section there is like a 300 post thread too.

Don't spray on the buds cause it does affect scent and flavor. Peal back your buds and you will find more.

I think the dried and harder nugs are too much for them. They don't eat and move on. So don't go to bed with your unharvested plants in bed next to you. You could wake up with a trail of cat's coming your way. Cha-chewy-chomp-chomp!
