Bug zapper

Hi fellow growers. Just a quick question about my bug zapper. I have been watching vids and reading threads and found that if there are any light leakages during lights out you may get hermes or just totally mess up flowering cycle. It emitts about 5w of blue neon lights IMO but in total dark it is rather bright. Would it work as a night time bulb like moonlight or should it not be on at all. I have not yet started to flower but if it needs to be off then need to know now.

Also should i leave any fans on during lights off to aid in plant perspiriation? I have a large ruck/squirell fan and and air conditioning unit with osc, neg ion, evap ect features.

I will post pix of my grow very soon as im using my iphone to post this thread.

Thanks guys/girls

Marijuana plants need their rest. Its not nice to interrupt them especially during the 12/12 dark periods. ANY disturbances at all can continuously keep your plant from flowering. Just give them their beauty sleep during flowering, COMPLETE darkness.

Plants always have the hormone that induces flowering. Light destroys the hormone and keeps it from flowering. You need 12 hours of darkness in order for them to start the flowering process. It is best not to have any light, especially something like a bug zapper, because you don't really know what wavelength of light it is putting out. To us it could be insignificant but to the plant it could be a beacon.
