This is my first plant. I didnt really take it as seriously as I should have, and I never really had high expectations. It turns out I love doing this so I'm just about done putting my first hydro setup together.
As far as this plant, It's my first and I'm just wondering if it's worth saving and what my next steps should be.
Nothing special. Just a bag seed I took from a friend growing it in soil, outdoors in a 2 or 3 gallon pot.
I feel like I'm dealing with multiple bug issues. I didnt think I had mites until I went out today and some black specs. We also have alot of of earwhigs around here I know everyone says BT or neem oil. I'm just wondering if it's worth it at this point.
Here are some pics. Oh, and if it matters, I'm growing in New England
The overall plant:
Some close ups:
I think the last one is just a burn??
And I sprayed it with soapy water earlier, and this came flying out. I think it was just hanging out, but it is the second time I've seen one. In any case, I just think it's a cool looking bug.(EDIT: actually I just learned it's a Candy-striped leaf hopper, and can cause quite a bit of leaf damage)
So, it's still growing, it still looks healthy from a close distance, but is it worth it. If so WHAT DO I DO NOW?
Thanks. I'd appreciate any advice. I feel like my plant is just an insect buffet but I have faith that someone can help me.
