this is the second grow that ive noticed this problem . the buds seem just about ready for picking , just waiting to see the crystals turn cloudy , when they start growing again , getting new white hairs etc.. the last crop was indoors , this crop is out doors . I will post pics , but they are kinda out of focus due to wind. cant take a lot of time to photograph as neighbor lady sits on her porch all day and I don't want her wondering what those plants are. anyone else have this problem ?101313 001.jpg101313 002.jpg

no these are supposedly paypaya seeds from nirvana (feminized) the other crop was something else , cant remember name . just as an aside , I planted three of the five seeds , and they all look like they are from different strains .

I see nothing wrong in particular with these 2 pictures.

The top of your colas will keep producing new flowers with white hairs throughout the harvest window. What's important is how much of the cola is mature vs how much is new flowers.

If the majority of the cola is already mature, waiting for the newest growth to be mature will cause the rest of the cola to be overripe. You'll never get a bud where all the flowers are evenly mature.

Yeah its just "foxtailing" usually more common in sativas towards the very end of flowering. It can also be caused by excessive heat.

The cola i see looks fairly indica dom so its imo foxtailing on an indica. looks pretty cool though.

That explains a lot , first the heat , Texas was hot this year , and my last crop was in hot environment as well (indoors) second , I favor indica mostly , and these last two crops were hybrids , that would explain why I never noticed it before. Glad I joined this group , good advice , not a lot of purposely misleading advice for folks asking newbie questions.
