It's starting to mold.
Try finding each flower cluster (will have a main stem each cluster) and fan the denser buds out a bit. It's possible that when you get into the grooves like this that you actually find where it is molding (which will look brown or black).
Keep in mind you will be losing resin to your finger tips, but if you are concerned about it, then you may just save a heap of your bud.
If you have already cut it down (or cut it down now to try to save the situation), you can actually cut these bud clusters off to separate the mass of the tops. Again, you may actually in the process find the mold in the moist middle of the tops. In this case, you may actually save the whole top from going bad. Just find the brown/black bits and pluck that affected mass out of each bud (it will be easy to do, as it will be a bit soft and mushy so will slough right off). Chuck that stuff- it's already gone. If you get it off though, and get air into those tops, you may actually end up saving a heap which could be wrecked.
Many a time I have not seen any signs openly from the outside, but when peaking into the tops have found mold like this (usually when in the drying stage). Even in bad cases, I've still saved so much by doing the above.
