Budding Under 24/7?

Setup is potted soil/coco/vermiculite under 24/7 worth of the light of a 6400 K 200w cfl in an old fridge with adequate venting. Fertiliser is just Nitrosol.

The strains are Haze (idk which one) and Flo.

Afaik neither are auto-flowering, (however, since the seeds all came from a guy in Amsterdam who probably picked them out of his mix, anything's possible as to their original strain type).

Both strains are spitting out calyxes now and a number of them are already well into bud, tiny as they are.

Does anyone have any explanation as to why this is happening please?

many sativas wil auto flower under certain circumstances. cannabis is not an obligate photoperiodic plant.
as you get closer to the equator there is less distinction between seasons and light levels.

increasing light intensity will help immensely.. even indicas will do this with low light. bigger bushes are often flowering in the inside. etc. some cannabis throws buds continuously, some grows along the ground and propagates itself like a vine.

pictures will help. let it do its thing i guess

So you are saying a plant will flower on the inside and continue to veg on the outside? Look out Finshaggy, you've got competition!

Some plants get little bud sites in 24 hour light. I've had quite a few plants push hairs in veg, some are good some are bad. I would say, look at the turn over rate and trim factor at harvest. the clones from those plants always seem to grow funky imo.

I've had preflowers but never actual bud sites in any photo I've grown that I can remember. Could you post some pics? Curious as to what you've got.

Sounds like you have experienced pre-flowers too. The majority of cannabis strains will present pre-flowers during veg once they become sexually mature.

Do you have any pictures of the vine like plants? A buddy trains his plants to travel along the ground but it takes extensive training. He will actually bury segments of the stalk allowing it to root at different intervals, its pretty cool.

A while back I planted six "Afghan Kandahar" seeds and had them under 24-hour light. Before they got to be a foot tall, three of them flowered male. Two of the other three plants eventually hermied. Only one of them was 100% female.
