Bud turning sick looking and brown and its spreading help!

So like the title its brown, sick and its spread even more since i took that picture. what is it? should i just cut it off and itll be ok? its just on this top cola.

Looks like bud rot, or some really bad budworm damage. I vote for budrot. as for how to treat it all I know is that its a mold I think? I've never had to deal with it, but I would recommend cutting off that bud and getting rid of it and then finding some kind of antifungal spray. nnem might work, I'm not sure though. Maybe someone who's encountered this will be kind enough to reply.

You have bud rot, cut it all out now. It will grow really fast.If it keeps coming back start spraying some type of mold killer.

High humidity will cause bud rot. Unfortunately for you, during lights out, your grow space can hit as high as 100% humidity. You need to deal with that humidity in some way. One way is to use a sulphur burner during lights out. This will help to dry out the atmosphere and at the same time prevent mould spores from forming.

deal with the causes of the problem and the problem will go away.

its outdoor. i dont know why it would be the humidity its useally pretty dry around here. I cut it off and im keeping an eye on it to see if i need mold spray. whats the likelyness that it will come back without the spray?

yeah just pull it off. could be the time of year with the humidity, couple that with the cooling weather and it just invites certain moulds.

also... an outdoor grower needs to chime in here in regards to treatment. I've heard of people using bleach on infected parts but as I haven't done it myself you'd be better off asking somebody that has.

Mold. Cut the whole cola off and hope the lower buds dont mold as well.

No if its outside the previously high rh that caused it has now dropped to low rh, if the dead bud is cut out the others can grow it shouldnt mold again.

I had the same thing a few days ago. Best I could tell it was mold. I cut the whole top bud off, then inside i pulled at it to see it there was a worm of insect in there. Then I inspected the whole thing w/ my 420scope. No bugs. Cut the bad(brown) section off the bud, and kinda quick dried it as an early tester. Just smoked a little, Whoooo! good morning to ME!
