Here is some bud and garden pics from today - it's one month since flipping 12/12 on November 6th.. This is a legal, personal medical grow.

They are coming along nicely, but not 100% healthy.. Something's up with the leaves, still trying to figure that out. They're still growing great though, just the leaves don't look so hot..

Anyways, on to the porn!

Up first is the Master Kush plant - grown from a Nirvana seed:

The Frisian Dew from a clone:

And saved the best (I think) for last.. The Northern Berry x Blueberry from a clone.. I want to eat these buds they look so good!

And my closet garden..

The two on the side are a baby Butterscotch x Hawaiian (front) who I think is a boy.. And the one up higher is a seed that was found in my buddy's last Frisian Dew harvest - it was all females in the room so I'm hoping that seed was feminized.. Also to the right are some cherry tomatoes, to the left some strawberries and a stag horn fern that's hibernating.

Everything grown under a 400w HPS. Nutes are a combo of the GH Flora series, Molasses, and Insant Karma. Also used just a tad bit of cal-mag.
Comments are welcome!

Dude, I must say...beautiful job LST'ing your bitchesss!!! Very healthy looking IMO...the leaves are fine...just what happens during flowering...You say those are just 4 weeks since 12/12 flip? Very nice buds...quick growing too...

I'm now convinced that my girls are more sativa than indica...i've been flowering since like the second week of October and mine don't compare as far as maturity...take a look at my journal in my sig and lemme know what you think...sativa/indica? I just posted pics on the last page from this morning...

Thanks jonboy! Yes. I am definitely sold on LST'ing now.. Will do it with all plants from now on. This is my first real grow and first time trying. I believe the next round will be much cleaner as I have learned a lot.

I looked at your stuff and really I have just about no experience with this growing thing so I really can't be any help unfortunately..

They do look good though, so keep it up!

Got these seeds 5yrs ago.. I don't order seeds online, I use clones or take from a stock that I have.. I just had this one laying around and decided to use it. Can't complain with the results so far :)

Day 34 of flowering. They're doing better. All new growth is green and staying green. Whatever they needed - I guess they got it.

Master Kush:

Frisian:

Northern Berry x Bluerry:

The reason your leaves are turning yellow like that is because your flowering food has either little or no nitrogen in it. Nitrogen deficiency's always show up first on the lower leaves with them turning yellow like they are.

Personally, I like to add just a little bit of nitrogen to keep my leaves there during flowering as the leaves are responsible for the photosynthesis that takes place and they result in the plants growth.

Adding Nitrogen during flowering is a common point of argument among growers though. Marijuana plants have a life cycle and as such the necrosis of the leaves is viewed by many to be natural part of the finishing process but this is often debated. My suggestion would be to add just a little nitrogen to one or two of your plants and watch the results or try adding it during your next grow.

Aside from that, your grow's looking great and happy smoking to ya.

I gave them some N and they seemed to like it.. They're at a good state now so I'm just letting them go and giving them supplements every couple waterings.. Almost time to start flushing anyways I think.. I have it marked in my log to start thinking about flushing in 6 days..

Here's a pic of each from this morning. Day 36 of 12/12.

The Northern Berry looking fuckin dirty, stinky, and gooey as always!

The Master Kush - big long buds!

The Frisian Dew started popping it's purple genetics!

Harvest Fest is getting closer!

Man, I just checked out the FD and the purple is even more since this morning. Looking really cool, haven't seen anything like that. I'll try to get more pics in the morning.

I also have a Butterscotch x Hawaiian male plant who's flowers are about ready to pop I think. I'm going to be painting a small bud off each of these three flowering plants to produce some seeds for the next go-around. Should be pretty cool cross-breeds coming out of this if I can pollinate them correctly!!

My only question though is will the rest of the plant suffer if I pollinate a small bud on each? I don't want the plant to get stunted because it's putting it's efforts into seed production.. Anyone know?

Thanks!

Hey berto...to help answer your question...use the paintbrush method to pollenate the lower, smaller buds...they will direct their energy into producing seeds, while the top buds will finish. I usually cut the unpollenated buds several weeks before the pollenated buds are even ready to harvest. When the calyxs' are popping open with seeds you can monitor when the seeds are ripe for the pickings...usually when they're brown like the ones we're used to seeing...GL bro!

Thanks for the tip jonboy - waiting for the flowers to pop!

Here's a little porn for you bud perverts.. I think I just gave them their last feeding, we're on day 38 of budding. 8 weeks to the day will put them on Jan 1st. This Friday will be exactly two weeks before that.. Maybe one more feeding then start the flush on Friday the 18th? If anyone has any input on that subject - I'm all ears.. This will be my first good harvest and I don't want to screw it up :)

The Master Kush - this one's got a good amount of buddage. Smells like a dirty dirty tramp.

The Frisian Dew - lots of smaller buds, but all very nice looking.. I'm thinking this one will produce the most - it's gotta have 25 nice nugs on it. Also the purple is starting to really pop:

And the big fat chunky gooey drippy Northern Berry Berry! This one is funky looking.. Look at the mass of pistols forming in clumps all over.. I almost want to preserve this bud in shellac and hang it on my wall or something.

That's it for now :)

FINALLY one of my male Butterscotch Hawaiians flowers opened up. I got a nice ziplock filled with it's sperm. It's a very hardy plant so it should make good offspring :D

I'm going to do the paintbrush method and pollinate a couple tiny popcorn buds on each of my big three girls.. Should give me some nice new breeds to try for my second time around :)

Hey Tagroth - those plants are nothing to be ashamed of - they look fuckin healthy and lovely lovely! Keep it up!!

Little update - Day 42 of 12/12 light.. These little sluts are looking fuckin fantastic if I may say so myself! And the smell is out of this world.. I gave them a light feeding yesterday.. I'm thinking that that's all for them - I will start just feeding them fresh water for the next couple weeks. I'm thinking about making the chop day Jan 1st.. That'll put them all at 8wks on the dot. Of course I'll be checking the trichs to make sure they're 50/50 amber/clear-milky. As of two days ago they were still 98% clear/milky, only a few amber ones here and there..

This will be my first ever harvest, so I'm going to take my time and make sure I do it right. Probably will pull the top big colas first and let the small ones go for another week on all plants. Will also probably try water curing a gram or two from each plant to see how that is. I don't care about the weight or appearance since I'm not selling any - I just want the most enjoyable smoke I can get...

Ok, on to the pics!

The Master Kush plant:

The Frisian Dew showing off it's winter plumage:

And the super sticky-icky Northern Berry Berry.. This plant is amazing. The light show that it puts on when you look at it under a light is amazing.. Pictures don't do this fat whore justice - it is amazing to look at!

Any comments/questions are welcome!

Thanks for the good words! I think you know what you're talking about - I looked up maturity times on each: MK - 9-11 weeks NB - 8-9 weeks FD - 7-9 weeks So what you said seems correct. The FD does seem to be closer to ready than the others. I'll be keeping an eye on her over the next couple weeks. :D
