Bud Box tent Vents let in light?

Hello to all looking in,

I'm curious on the Bud box tent and all grow tents that have vents at the bottom.

So i understand they are designed to allow just one fan with a carbon filter at the top which pulls air out the tent and the bottom vents then allows passive air to be drawn back into the tent simple.

But when these bottom vent flaps are opened don't they let light in ? I'm just trying to get my head round it does anyone use tents do you get hermies when you leave the vent flaps open?

Anybody fancy having a go at an answer?

With a tent i would suggest running lights during the day and not at night. Because yes the vents let in light and let out light and can potentially cause hermies. Me personally have learned that you do not need those vents as long as you have a good extraction fan and a good intake. So what i did is took some aluminum foil tape and taped the vents closed.
