Bucket Fucket

Ok, i transplanted in a smaller/wider bucket, the old buckets were 5gal and now it in 16" buckets....bad move I know but Lowes sucks and that is the only store around... There is a mound apthat goes above the top of the bucket....here is a pic i made so you can get an idea....


ps....it was rootbound and the mound is covering the roots....

cut the bottom off the bottom, and put that into a new bucket, its called double potting i think.

you could always try to make your own border.get some thin plastic and make the edge of the pot few inches higher .make a ring the width of top of pot and just set it there so dirt holds it in place. lol was trying to find this vid it was on this forum while back http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oew-OwcPQjg

I was thinking that too, not sure if you know what canjam is but the plastic cans would be perfect too cut and use. Im just worried that the roots will pop out the sides of the mound, the rootball is in that mound

dude, the roots wont grow in air, leave them the air will prune them, as in when the roots touch air they stop growing, but start growing new roots elswhere.
