I am trying bubblecloning for the first time and was wondering do you put the clone stems in the water or do you have them just above the bubbles when you start:-?

well you kinda need em in the water so that the are forced to make roots to soak it up. Dont try to foliar feed too much, as they will get lazy in root building

I just started using a bubbler to root clones. I posted a pic showing the stems about 1 inch into the water. I wasnt having much luck getting rooting going. I was told to let just the very tip hit the water and it worked out well. I also had to throw an aquarium heater in it to keep the water warm enough.

I took 2 fresh cuttings 2 days ago and they are both have little rootlets starting already doing it w/ only the tips in the water..

yeah its cool to submerge the stem up to an inch and even more
think of it like when you put roses or any type of flowers in a vase
if you keep the water clean long enuff the flower will root - i have roses do this all the time, no rooting gel no nothing, and for some reason only the bottom most tip of the stem roots no matter how much stem is under water- ive also have had this happen with weed clones - try one just put it in a cup of plain water and when the water looks cloudy change it
