Broken Branch. HELP!

HELP!
So I came home tonight and discovered that after a long day of rain and wind, a branch broke off of the bottom of my plant. It's dark right now and I want to repair it but I've heard all kinds of methods from taping, to copper wire and I'm wondering which method has worked best for you?
Also, how can I do this in the dark? Or should I wait until morning? I'm 2 weeks into flowering and I'm just starting to get tiny little buds developing.
I am new to growing and took these plants in for a friend that has passed away so I know NOTHING. I'm about 300 pages into the Cannabis Bible but I'm in need of advice.

Yes just put it together carefully and tape it up. If you need to tie itboff to another branch to help support it. Or use a popsicle stick as a splint. I know you say its dark.

I would use duck or electrical tape. You can use a small light just don't shine it directly on the plant if possible.
The only tape I could find was scotch tape. I put it back together as closely as I could and feeling in the dark I taped it back together. Fortunately it's at the base and I could tell where it broke. I'll grab some electrical tape at the store tomorrow and retape with electrical. Do you think it'll be ok for tonight? I was too nervous about a light. My plants sit on my patio and there's a sliding glass door that looks out onto it I came home and my daughter had the lights on. I quickly shut them off and put a dark curtain over the window.

Yes it will be fine. Plants can recover pretty well. May slow it down a bit until she recovers.

Was it the hurricane that got your plant
I'll give her some nice TLC tomorrow and fingers crossed.. she'll be ok! I'm in Oregon and it was rainy, cloudy and windy. My ladies aren't getting much sun lately :(
And I had to flush them yesterday because I over did the nutes and they started getting nitrogen toxicity. I think they need some sun and a few days.

That weather sucks. I hope she pulls through for you. I did this my first grow broke the dam thing completely off. I made two clones out of it because I did know how to fix it. Then come to find out it was a male.

Yeah first grow mistakes.. Making a LOT. Oh shit! did any of the clones come out female?

Well everyone this morning I came out to check my late night handy work and here's what it looks like. So far there isn't any wilting. I'll watch her carefully and make sure she gets mist if that happens. And I'll replace with electrical tape today ☺ Now some sun would be nice!

Great job. If she looks good leave her to heal.
