super weird,
I bought a 3 stage brita tap filter yesterday in hopes to lower my ppm's a bit. i tested my water straight from the tap, it was 150 ppm and a ph of 7.9. after running the water throught the filter ppm was around 240 and ph went up to 8.9!! I did this test twice with the same results.

this is crazy no??

I bought the brita filter because it's the only water filter i could find in my area. I even looked for that Mr. clean carwash RO thing, no go.

Anyone know what could be causing this???

Thanks in advance

p.s. my water does taste better though.....

If your ppm is only at 150 you should be fine using tap water, RO water is of course better but if you can't do anything it will be fine just as is, once you get above the 250 ppm range you might want to treat it. I think you should take that thing back and get your money back right now, hope you kept the reciept! Is there a RO water machine nearby where you live? If so just get your water from there, it'll be a hassle to get water frequently but if you really want RO water you might just have to do something like that. My water tested at under 250 ppm with a ph of 6.5-7, and my plants look nice and healthy, check it out they're on their 39th day of flowering today.
