Brewed compost tea for 48 hours ph lowered to 4.8

Normally my ph never lowers this much and im able to correct it with ph up but its not going up... I used 5 cups of bu's blend compost, 5 cups of mollasses and brewed it in a tea for 48 hours now trying to feed my soil in my backyard the compost tea... there's obviously no plants in the ground yet but if I were to give me plants a ph of 4.8 they'd drop right on the spot... not really sure whats keeping the ph down but trying to get to the bottom of it ... any helpa appreciated thanks

No I actually only added 2 1/2 cups of molasses to 25 gallons of water not 5 cups ... ph is super acidic have no idea why I know one thing forsure I wouldn't give that to my plants so doesn't make sense to give to to my soil ...

That much molasses will easily crash the PH.

So I’m not experienced with this teas thing. But isn’t it 1 tablespoon per 5 gallon?so 5.for 25gallon. You gave 2 1/2 cups= 40 tablespoons

I find most organic guys put so much lime, oyster shell, crab shell meal along with finished neutral ph compost 4.8 ph tea wont kill it. might balance it
