bought cfl's, enough?

I just bought some cfl bulbs ans sockets to start setting up my grow. I wanted to make sure there is enough light for 1-2 plants in my closet.

i got...

philips plant light- 120W 120V

N:vision bright white- 120W

N:vision day light- 100W

Will that be sufficent for 1-2 plants to veg?

yes, i would reccomend a small hps... like a 150 or 250

are their hps bulbs?

yes... but you need a ballast too... you can get a 150 security and transform it into a grow light or you can spend a little more $ and get one already setup for growing

Any idea where I can get a 150 security hps ballast for relatively cheap? I'd gladly replace 5 40 watt CFLs with a 150 hps.

home depot... you should be able to get one for about 70 bucks... when you get one private message me and ill give you directons of an easy way to rewire it

High Tech Garden Supply

I'm getting mine from HTG Supply. They are pretty cheap depending on the kind of ballast you want to get. You can go with a package deal that comes with two bulbs (MH, HPS) so you can switch to HPS when its time to flower. You can also check on Ebay or Craigslist. I heard from a lot of people it's not really good to veg. with HPS because it only pulls light from one part of the light spectrum. I could really go into it but you could just go here and check it out....
