blackstar 240w how close can it be

just wondering how close to canopy i can put this light i need to be able to put it 4 inches.heat is not a problem but will it bleach?

Only way to know is to try it yourself. I would personally put it 8 inches away. 4" sounds a little too close with that kind of power and lens angle.

i bought the light to replace a 110w compact t-5 pll set up.but i have just been reading about leds bleaching.its for a metal cabinte thats about three feet tall .but with container and all it only leaves about 1.5 - 2 feet of growing space.

find the temp under the light at 4" then adjust accordingly until you're at the perfect temp. I've seen 4" be done before.

I have the 240 watt Blackstar, and some of my plants are about 4" from the light. There is no bleaching.
