Blackjack indoors week 5 of flowering complete

5 blackjack's from Nirvana,Tallest is 24",grown in soil under 400 w switchable hps/mh.

nice plants, they sure don't look like the pics they have of it, i am doing black jack in hydro right now. did you take clones from them? good luck

no i sure didn't take any clones of the blackjacks,this is my first grow ever

from what I have read they are easy rooting strain

how's the smell?

ill tell you this about the roots,the rule of thumb is 1 gallon pot for each foot of height,i knew going in these would be 2 foot tall plants,so i had them in 2 gallon pots,by the beginning of flowering the roots were coming out the holes in the bottom of the pots.I knew if i went all 10 weeks of flowering like this that i would be stunting the growth big time.so i cut the plastic bottom off the pots and filled up 5 more 2 gallon pots half way with soil(I had 5 more 2 gallon pots left over)and put the plants on top of the new half filled pots.They took right to it no problems.These girls need room for root growth.
As far as the smell,I have a carbon filter in the tent,and an air purifier in the room with the tent,and I do not smell anything.When i go into the tent i barly smell anything,if i touch the girls and move them around a bit the odor kicks up a bit but nothing major.The odor is a huge concern for me and i have taken great lengths to keep it non existent.I also have insence sticks in 2 places burning maybe 5 sticks each,and another air purifier near the front door,and if the odor gets past all this,i have a 16,000 ppm ozone machine ready

i have plenty of room for the roots to grow in my tub, i'm in early veg and haven't topped them yet, from what i have read it is a good yeilder

my last plants had the most pwerful stank you could imagine, were begseed so no idea what they were came out wonderful,,just curious if i am in for round 2 with these, i have blue mystic going right now in the house with no filter and no problems,, good indoor summer strain, or anyone concerned with odors

I really dont know what to expect yield wise,i know i have a goal of 2 oz a plant 10 oz total and would be disappointed with under 8 oz.Anyone have any knowledge on what to expect???

blue mystic is on my list for my next grow,next grow im going to be doing 6 plants total,all short ones all different strains.I'm a newbee to all this,so I didnt even find out there is a sight that will sell single fem seeds when i bought my first seeds so i just went with a 5 pack of blackjack from nirvana

on the reviews a guy claimed 23 dried from 3 plants and a 600 hps,, i think your in line but it is really light dependent, a 400 to do 5 plant is asking lil much in my opinion

blue mystic is for sure a small plant,,i vegged it 6 weeks to try and get it to grow more,,it just got thicker, they are prone to root rot, but recover fine

none of mine had the blue photoype like on the pic but they are sticky nice looking plants

My grow area is 2'x4' 8 feet total,400w was recommended by HTG Supply for a 8 square foot growing area,and I have room for 1 more short plant,I only have 5 in there.I was following a thread from a guy who had a 3x5 foot tent 15 square feet,and he had 11 beautiful super skunks in it almost ready to harvest with a 400w light.

i am also 2x4x8 i have a 400 to veg and i flower with a 600. 400's are great for short plants

im only 5 foot high,so im forced to do short plants only.my next grow is going to be

what i was meaning by 5 plants is a bit much for a 400, you could grow 2 plants and yeild 8 oz, or 5 and yeild the same 8 oz, it's light dependent, more light more bud

ya i get your point,im new to this,i didnt know how many to plant for the best yield
