Blackberry Hermie?

Hey everyone! I am just wondering if the little ball like formations in some of my buds are possibly seeds forming. I could not find any pollen sacks that would indicate it being a hermaphrodite. I have attached a couple pics. Let me know what you think :eyesmoke:

yes that is a seed....sometimes hermies pop early in flower (good indication of bad genetics) or late (stress). you may have missed the bananas. they can be difficult to see even when you are looking for them. it could also be tucked in the buds by now.

i usually judge by the amount of pollen sacks....if there is a ton of them, i will scrap the plant. if they hermie early in flower i will scrap them. keep in mind some plants that are hermie dont have the gene or genes that allow the pollen to be viable.

I really don't want to scrap the plants completely as I only have 2. Should I chop them now and try to salvage the buds that are there? I will get more pics tomorrow. It is late in flower so it is most likely due to stress based on what you said. I have a good idea of why as well (I don't have light tight grow area). The other plant top is very interesting looking as well.

well only the calyx that bears the seed is affected in potency. the surrounding calyxs are just as potent as they would of been. if the whole nug isnt seeded continue to grow it as normal. since you are so late in the game you should be fine. that should be a feminized seed as well.

That's good news. I would hate for this long process to end in disaster! I'm going over there today I will take some pics of the unaffected buds. Next op will be a bit more organized as far as grow space.

The middle two pictures (I put them in out of order). are the top bud of the other plant. It looks weird. The top and bottom pics are pics of another seemingly unaffected bud. I cut the big fan leaves off today expecting to possibly just do an early harvest. Do you think I could get away with letting them go a bit more or should I just cut my losses and harvest tonight? Thanks for any input.

i would advise against harvesting tonight. the damage has already been done. no new seeds should form in the few weeks you have left. it takes 4-5 weeks for a seed to develop and become viable. let it go. you will lose lots more by harvesting too early trust me.
